Dr. Lisa Benz
Board Certified Pediatrician
Dr. Lisa Benz has been married to Dr. Dan Benz for 26 years and they have 8 children together! Dr. Lisa and her family are members of the Catholic Charismatic community of Ann Arbor. Dr. Lisa has been board certified for 30 years and is on staff at Children’s Hospital of Michigan as well opening her own private practice in Detroit. Dr. Lisa’s excellent education includes attending medical school at UNC Chapel hill and residency at Montefiore Hospital in Bronx, NY. Dr. Lisa opened Sacred Heart Pediatrics because she has a heart for the families in Detroit who need personal, high quality medical care.
Dr. Lisa’s mission is to bring a private practice model to the inner city of Detroit with a Christian foundation. Her vision is to expand and include adult medicine, counseling services, women’s health, and to partner with community resources.
Melia Stagayama
Office Manager
Melia Stagayama is the office manager at Sacred Heart Pediatrics. She has a bachelor's degree in Spanish education and has focused her career on mentoring kids and helping people. Melia is happily married to Caleb Stagayama and together they are fixing up a 97 year old house they recently bought. She is passionate about Sacred Heart's commitment to caring for Detroit children and their families.
